Leadership

The Presbyterian Church is governed by its members and elects elders and deacons to serve in its leadership positions for terms of three years. Each year a small group is elected by the congregation from its members to each group to serve in the ministry of the church.

Elders

The body of elders is elected by our congregation to serve in the governing body called the session. The session represents the members of the congregation and is dedicated to decerning the intent of Christ in the ministry of the church. Session members are typically elected in the December congressional meetings and ordained during services in January.

Deacons

Deacons are the lifeblood of the church and assist with the outreach in the church. Many say that deacons “are charged with being the hands and feet of Christ.” A part of their ministry is one of pastoral care and outreach. Deacons may assist with home visits, feeding, hospitality, and prayer.

Please feel free to reach out to the deacons if you or family members are in need of being closer to the church.
